This should be quite the interesting post lol! First off I should explain to any of you who happen upon this blog let alone this post that I am anything but completely knowledgable about this topic. However I will not sit on my butt and watch Obama get elected. I should explain a bit I guess. I am anything but a racist & I was all for him getting elected for awhile there. Until a friend of mine sent me an email which showed him standing there during the Pledge of Allegiance w/o his hand over his heart & without uttering a single word! I was more than a bit confused so I asked why this was so. My main concern with this is why would any American vote into office a President who refuses to pledge to the flag of the country he hopes to lead??? Seriously, that makes NO sense at all to me. Secondly I’ve been informed he is Muslim, and as I said before I am anything but racist, but argh!!! Our country is at war with them are we not??? -sigh- So yeh, this all has put a fire under me that has me registering to vote for the first time in my life. Another issue I have with all of this is that Oprah has pretty much given Obama her endorsement, which in itself has assured more votes from certain people. Why??? I really couldn’t say. Like I said before I don’t understand why anyone who cannot or will not pledge to our flag should even be considered as a Presidential candidate! All I have remembered growing up was the candidates continually slamming each other. I think they all need to just grow up. I want to hear what they want to do, not what someone else has done wrong or that you’re too busy worrying about the garbage in another candidates past to even tell us what you want to get done. I think the world as a whole needs to realize more than most apparently do that no matter what a candidate hopes to accomplish, it is up to Congress in the end.
